Strict Standards: Non-static method HTML_content::TOC() should not be called statically in /home2/mpsa/public_html/components/com_content/content.html.php on line 525 Maksud penyelenggaraan ujian adalah untuk menilai apakah mahasiswa telah memahami atau menguasai bahan yang disajikan dalam suatu mata kuliah, serta untuk mengelompokkan mahasiswa dalam beberapa golongan berdasar kemampuannya. Penggolongan yang dimaksud yaitu golongan terbaik (golongan A), golongan baik (golongan B), golongan cukup (golongan C), dan golongan kurang (golongan D). Ujian dilaksanakan dalam beberapa cara, seperti ujian tertulis, ujian lisan, ujian dalam bentuk penulisan karangan, ujian dalam bentuk seminar, ujian dalam bentuk pemberian tugas, dan kombinasi dari beberapa cara tersebut. Cara ujian yang diberikan disesuaikan dengan jenis mata kuliah, tujuan kurikuler, maupun tujuan instruksional. Agar ujian betul-betul mempunyai tingkat validitas yang tinggi dalam mengukur tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa, maka perlu diadakan ujian lebih dari satu kali. Kumpulan nilai-nilai beberapa ujian tersebut digabung menjadi satu sebagai nilai ujian trimester untuk satu mata kuliah. Ujian per mata kuliah dapat terdiri atas ujian-ujian sisipan, ujian-ujian tugas khusus dan praktek, dan satu kali ujian akhir, yang diselenggarakan pada akhir suatu trimester.
